Kurt D. Olender is a Partner with EVC and specializes in corporate law and related commercial areas of practice, representing companies in all facets of the business life cycle: corporate formation and structure issues, capital raising (venture capital, private equity, debt, convertible instruments), mergers and acquisitions, complex contract negotiations and drafting, protection and exploitation of intellectual property (e-commerce, software licensing, development agreements, joint venturing) and data privacy and information security.
Mr. Olender dedicates a substantial portion of his time to advising companies on business and strategic issues, including financial management and growth strategy, turn-around and restructuring, and asset maximization. Having worked with several hundred companies in his career, Mr. Olender brings a depth of legal and business knowledge to his clients, coupling experience with practical and creative advice that provides clients with the ability to effectively achieve their goals. He represents companies in a diversity of industries and located regionally, nationally, and internationally: retail, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, media, ecommerce, computer software, transportation, technology and hospitality, amongst others. The breadth of industries in which Kurt practices has provided him with both a depth and broad coverage of business and legal knowledge.
Mr. Olender earned his B.A. in economics from the University of Rochester and his J.D. from the Syracuse College of Law where he was an editor of the Syracuse Law Review.
